Story Time Storytelling Workshop

Discover the power of your personal story.Join us this September in Basel for Story Time, a four-week live storytelling workshop designed to help you craft compelling true stories and share them with confidence in front of a live audience.

Across four engaging sessions (4 x 120 min), we’ll laugh, learn, and uncover what makes a great story tick—and how you can tell it like a pro.

No lectures, no stress—just a space to explore, experiment, and discover the storyteller within. Unleash your creativity and embrace the magic of storytelling.This workshop is open to all storytelling mediums—your story can be spoken, painted, danced, or told in any way that feels right to you.

At the end of the course, you’ll have the opportunity (completely optional) to present your story to a warm and supportive audience at The Beast. Whether you perform or not, you’ll walk away with valuable storytelling skills and great memories.

 Course Details

• Prerequisite: None – open to all

• Class Size: Maximum 10 participants

• Start Date: Thursday, September 4

• Time: Thursdays, 19:00–21:00

• Duration: 4 weeks (1 class per week)

• Class Dates: September 4, 11, 18, and 25

• Price: 200 CHF (170 CHF for students)

To celebrate the end of the workshop, we’ll host an optional public storytelling night on October 1st, where participants can perform their stories in front of a live audience. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to put your new skills into action — but only if you want to. No obligation, just opportunity.

Meet the Teachers

Albert: A stand-up comedian and storyteller, Albert was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. His performances are eccentric, energetic, and unconventional—covering everything from wildlife adventures to the origins of civilization. As the creator of a monthly storytelling show in Basel and a weekly comedy workshop for the past three years, he knows how to bring out the best stories in people. Always experimenting, always refining—Albert is on a constant quest to get the story just right.

Ilektra: Born in Greece and now based in Switzerland, Ilektra is passionate about visual storytelling, blending artistry and narrative to create compelling content.
